  • Potted greenery/flowers if there is space at front entrance
  • Garbage/recycle bins put away
  • Leaves raked, grass cut
  • House number easy to read
  • Eaves troughs, downspouts and soffits painted and in good repair
  • Garage/car port clean and tidy
  • Hedges and shrubs trimmed, garden weeded and edged
  • Snow and ice cleared away from walks, sidewalks sanded and salted
  • Front door has new rug
  • Doorbell works
  • Fresh air in house, clean smell, not too strong to affect allergens
  • Windows clean and open
  • All curtains/blinds open (except when concealing an unappealing view)
  • All lights on in house, replace all burnt out bulbs with brightest wattage possible
  • Fireplace on in winter if possible
  • Stairs and halls all clear
  • Pet dishes/litter box, bird cages, etc. put away, pet away if possible or in kennel
  • Toilet seats down, shower curtain closed
  • ALL personal toiletries in basket in cupboard, toothbrushes, etc.
  • Fresh, clean towels out
  • No dirty dishes /dishwasher unloaded
  • Garbage bins emptied
  • Vacuum/sweep floors
  • Put away all personal belongings, including laundry and family photo’s
  • Closets tidy and only essentials, pack the rest away into storage if possible
  • Fresh flowers
  • Generic music playing
